Every year, our company sponsors the "Printmaking Koshien" held in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture, to support the creation of imaginative works by high school students from across Japan.
Once again this year, after the competition concluded, we borrowed the award-winning works and displayed them at our office.
The theme for this 25th edition was “Sado is Alive.”
The exhibition features works that express Sado’s nature, culture, and the daily lives of its people through the fresh perspectives of young artists.
Every piece conveys the richness of Sado and the “vitality” that thrives there.
For our employees as well, this exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to encounter new perspectives and sensibilities through these works.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for lending us these wonderful works.
Please be sure to stop by and see the exhibition when you visit our company.

It’s that time of year again—printmaking season.
High school students from across the country will compete in printmaking in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture
We are currently displaying works from the "24th National High School Printmaking Championship (Hanga Koshien)" in our office.
This year’s theme is “Discover!! Sado”
In this competition, 14 schools that have advanced through regional qualifiers across the country form teams of three and spend three days creating a single print inspired by Sado’s diverse landscapes.
On the first day, I searched for materials and subjects on Sado Island, and after that, I carved my pieces with single-minded devotion, day and night,
We will collaborate to create a single piece of artwork.

We have decided to revise the prices of our offset and flexo inks as outlined below.
While we implemented a price adjustment in June 2023, costs for various consumables, utilities, and logistics continue to rise due to the surge in raw material and energy prices caused by recent global conditions.
We are making every possible effort within the company to mitigate these various cost increases, but we have already reached the limits of what we can achieve on our own and are now facing an extremely difficult situation.
Although this is deeply regrettable and causes us great distress, we earnestly request your understanding regarding the price adjustment outlined below, as our top priority is to ensure a stable supply of products and maintain consistent quality moving forward.

National High School Printmaking Championship
The National High School Printmaking Championship, held annually since 2001, is also known as the "Printmaking Koshien."
Now in its 23rd year, this event is held to foster high school students’ rich imagination and creative spirit, and to provide them with memorable experiences through interaction with their peers and local residents.
This is a competition in which all teams that have advanced through the preliminaries gather on Sado Island, where they work in teams of three to research Sado’s natural environment and traditional performing arts and complete their projects.
The main tournament is being held on Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture.
Over the course of three days, we will conduct research on Sado Island and work through the entire process from conceptualization to the creation of the artwork.

To ensure everyone is prepared for emergencies, we once again held a training session this year featuring instructors from the Soka-Yashio Fire Department to cover the proper use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators), the sequence of life-saving procedures, and CPR.
AED stands for Automated
External
Defibrillator. It is a device that provides voice instructions when turned on, allowing the rescuer to perform defibrillation (i.e., delivering an electric shock to the patient’s heart) by following those instructions.
Since the AED automatically analyzes the electrocardiogram and determines whether an electric shock is necessary, even members of the general public with limited medical knowledge can perform life-saving measures by following the voice guidance.
This time, we learned how to use an AED and perform CPR (chest compressions) using mannequins, but I realized that in a real-life emergency, I might not be able to respond calmly. I felt once again that I want to continue taking regular training courses so that if I ever encounter such a situation, I can respond as calmly as possible.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.
Please note that we will be closed for summer vacation during the following period.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.
We have decided to revise the prices of our offset inks and related products as follows.
In July 2022, we implemented a price adjustment for our offset ink products. However, we continue to face significant challenges, including a sharp rise in energy prices driven by escalating geopolitical risks such as ongoing conflicts, increased manufacturing and logistics costs due to soaring electricity rates, and rising prices for key raw materials—including ink pigments and resins—exacerbated by rapid exchange rate fluctuations.
In particular, domestic manufacturers of key raw materials for specialty products—such as gold, silver, and fluorescent pigments—on which our company places a strong emphasis, as well as manufacturers of specialty pigments like fluorescent and pearlescent pigments, for which global production capacity is limited, are currently implementing unprecedented price adjustments due to the risk of business discontinuation caused by aging production facilities and rising maintenance costs. This situation is posing a significant threat to the stable supply of these products in the future.
We are making every possible effort within the company to mitigate these various cost increases, but we have already reached the limits of what we can achieve on our own and are now facing an extremely difficult situation.
Although this is deeply regrettable and causes us great distress, we earnestly request your understanding regarding this price adjustment, as our top priority is to ensure a stable supply of products and maintain consistent quality moving forward.
We earnestly ask for your understanding of the difficult circumstances we face under these extraordinary circumstances.

Held remotely for the second year in a row, this year’s theme is “Sado Fantasy.”
This piece is imbued with the hope that, if you cannot experience Sado in person, you will let your imagination run free without being constrained by the reality of Sado.
As expected, the collection features a series of masterpieces, each one conveying a deep affection for Sado.
Some of these works offer a breath of fresh air with their innovative ideas, and I truly hope many people will have the chance to experience them.

We have decided to revise the prices of our offset inks as follows.
In October 2021, we implemented a price adjustment for our offset ink products. However, since last year, we have continued to face significant increases in logistics costs due to disruptions in the supply chain caused by rising prices for key raw materials—including pigments and resins—as well as ancillary materials such as various containers, energy costs, and the recent escalation of geopolitical risks.
We are making every possible effort within the company to mitigate these various cost increases, but we have already reached the limits of what we can achieve on our own and are now facing an extremely difficult situation.
We deeply regret having to do this, but in order to prioritize the stable supply of our products and the maintenance of consistent quality, we are requesting a price adjustment.

On June 1, 2022, we conducted an AED training session with the cooperation of the Soka-Yashio Fire Department.
We observed the entire process—from finding an unconscious person and checking for a response to performing chest compressions and using an AED until emergency responders arrive—and then all participants had the opportunity to practice first aid themselves.
The instructors answered various questions that arose during the hands-on practice, allowing us to learn effective response methods.
We plan to hold regular training sessions to ensure we can act appropriately and quickly in an emergency.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued patronage.
Regarding our flexographic products, which you have consistently supported,
Please note that prices will be adjusted for shipments starting February 1, 2022.
Last May, our company implemented a price adjustment for gold ink.
However, due to the continued deterioration of the supply-demand balance,
Prices for raw materials used in flexographic products—such as pigments, resins, vegetable oils, and photoinitiators—as well as for containers for auxiliary materials, are continuing to rise.
In addition, logistics costs have risen due to supply chain disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Given these circumstances, we are continuing to implement every possible measure—including streamlining production and reducing overhead costs—to absorb the increased costs; however, we are now in a situation where it is extremely difficult to absorb any further cost increases.
To ensure a stable supply of our products in the future, we kindly ask for your understanding as we implement a price adjustment for the products listed below.
We kindly ask for your understanding of the difficult circumstances we face under these extraordinary circumstances.
I earnestly request this.

Dear Sir or Madam, We hope this letter finds you well and that your business continues to thrive.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued patronage.
We would like to inform you that the prices of our offset inks and related products—which you have consistently supported—have risen sharply due to a global imbalance in the supply and demand of raw materials, including pigments, resins, solvents, vegetable oils, and intermediates such as photoinitiators.
In addition to the recent rise in safety and environmental compliance costs,
the prices of packaging materials and logistics costs continue to rise.
We have been working to reduce costs by consolidating products wherever possible, reviewing our raw material procurement, and streamlining production and logistics; however, we have now reached a point where it is extremely difficult to absorb rising costs through our own efforts alone.
In order to fulfill our responsibility to ensure a stable supply of our products and to maintain and improve their quality, we kindly ask for your understanding as we implement a price adjustment.
As the economic slowdown caused by the ongoing spread of the novel coronavirus shows no signs of abating, we deeply regret to inform our valued customers that, though it is against our wishes, we must respectfully request your understanding regarding a price adjustment for our products.
