A rich history underpins Megagmi Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd.

• 1928年

  Founded by Tatsujiro Arai as Kinshodo Shoten. Began selling printing inks and printing supplies.

• 1936年

  The company became Kinmatsudo General Partnership and began manufacturing printing ink in Arakawa, Arakawa Ward, Tokyo.

• 1945年

  Began manufacturing printing ink in Matsuda-machi, Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture.

• 1950年

  The company’s headquarters was completed in Ueno, Taito Ward, Tokyo, and the company was reorganized and registered as Megagmi Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd.

• 1954年

  For the first time in Japan, we introduced and began operating the state-of-the-art flasher available at the time for the production of yellow ink.

• 1961年

  We have established a state-of-the-art ink manufacturing plant in Matsuda-machi, Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, and have begun operations.

• 1968年

  The new headquarters building was completed in Ueno, Taito Ward, Tokyo.

• 1984年

  Established a local subsidiary, Megami Corporation (M.C.), in the United States.

• 1990年

  We are announcing the launch of Japan's first vacuum-packed gold and silver inks produced using a vacuum-filling process.

• 1995年

  A new production line for UV-curable ink has been established at the Gunma Plant.

• 2002年

  ISO 9001 Certification

• 2010年

  We have launched a technical partnership with Gangri Industrial Development Co., Ltd. in Guangdong Province, China.

• 2016年

  Completion of the Tokyo Technical Center in Yashio City, Saitama Prefecture; relocation of the Tokyo Plant.
